Organised a talk for Civil Engineering students. The invited speaker was Prof. Dr. GyeHee Lee from MOKPO National Maritime University, Korea. He gave a lecture on the Bridge-Vessel Collision

13^th February 2020

Organised a talk for Civil Engineering students. The invited speaker was Mr Derek Goh Chi Lun, project engineering from Persona Metro Sdn. Bhd. He gave a lecture on BIM application for contractor.

3^th March 2020

Organised a site visit to NS Bluescope Lysaght Malaysia for Civil Engineering students.

2^nd September 2020

Organised a virtual talk for civil engineering students. The invited speaker was Mr. Teoh Khai Keat from Nehemiah Towoong Bridgetech Sdn Bhd. He gave a lecture on an innovative super long span bridge girder.

10^th September 2020

Organised a virtual talk for civil engineering students. The invited speaker was Mr Tan Guan Han from Sonicon Constructioon Sdn Bhd. He gave a lecture on non-vibration controlled demolition method.

Organised a virtual talk for civil engineering students. The invited speaker was Ms. Oois Ee Sze from Paramount Properties. She gave a sharing session on the insight into property industry.

Organised a site visit to MMC Pembetungan Langat for Civil Engineering students.

Organised a talk for Civil Engineering students. The invited speaker was Ir. Lee Peir Tien from G&P Geotechnics Sdn Bhd. He gave a lecture on the Piling Design and Construction.

Organised a talk for Civil Engineering students. The invited speaker was Ir. Dr. Tony Chan, ICE representative in Malaysia. He gave a sharing session on the career aspiration as successful engineers.

Organised a talk for Civil Engineering students. The invited speaker was Ir. Dr. Julian Lee from Cinnotek International Group. He gave a sharing session on the road to becoming a chartered Civil Engineer & integral elements of a successful engineering career.

Organised a site visit to Subang Jaya Project- High rise building by Persona Metro Sdn Bhd for Civil Engineering students.

Organised a talk for Civil Engineering students. The invited speaker was Ir. Yam Teong Siam. He gave a lecture on the challenges for civil engineers in the transformation era.

Organised a talks for Civil Engineering students in UTAR. Professors from Kobe University (Prof. Shiro Takada and Prof. Takashi Okimura) were invited to give lectures on the following topics: 1. Natural Hazards and Community Based Early Warning System for Risk Mitigation (Prof. Takada) 2. Construction of Geo-database “KOBE JIBANKUN” and Simulation for Damaged Area Appeared at Kobe Earthquake (Prof. Okimura)      

Year 2016

28^th to 29^th July 2016

Presentation in the 4th ASEAN-Korea Engineering Forum and RTM. Prof. Yasuo Tanaka and Assoc. Prof Ir. Dr. Huang Yuk Feng presented a technical paper on 2014 Malaysia Flood, with the presence of UTAR President, Ir. Professor Academician Dato' Dr. Chuah Hean Teik and Vice President, Ir. Professor Dr. Lee Sze Wei. 

8^th August 2016

Organised a professional talk for civil engineering students in UTAR. The invited speaker was Prof. Dr. Harianto Rahardjo. He gave an one hour lecture on the application of unsaturated soil mechanics for sustainable urban living.       

24^th August 2016

Organised a technical talk for civil engineering students in UTAR. The invited speakers were C. J. Chen and Matthew Hennessy from Turner International delegates. The topic of the talk was Technical Talk on Foundation Construction of Mega Tall Buildings.   

12^th to 14^th October 2016

Participation and presentation at UTAR-UST Workshop 2016 in Chungli, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Presentations given by CDRR are as follows: 

1.Techno Developments Required for DRR in Asia (by Professor Yasuo Tanaka) 

2. A Proposed Community Rainwater Harvesting Project in Kemud River Basin Cameron Highlands for Flood Mitigation and Water Supplement Purposes (by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huang Yuk Feng) 

3.Flood Disaster and Climate Change Assessment in Cameron Highlands Malaysia (by Dr. Tan Kok Weng) 

4. Disaster Awareness and Preparedness of Malaysian Communities (by Dr. Lim Wan Leng) 

5. Bioethics for Environmental Disaster – Haze in Southeast Asia (by Prof. Dr. Chin Kin Fah)    

8^th to 10^th November 2016       

Organised Asia Pacific Conference on Transportation and The Environment (APTE 2016) together with The Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Transportation Science Society Malaysia. The conference was held at Hotel Armada in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The theme of the conference was “Green Transportation Development for Sustainable Future”. A total of 28 papers were presented in the conference. Four speakers were invited to the conference.
